I'm in yoga-love with this towel! I have three Gaiam yoga towels and this is the only one that stays PUT and does not "pool" so that I'm lying in my own sweat! I practice Bikram so it's HOT and active and I sweat like a man so I need my towel to absorb well. The sticky underside of this towel runs the length of the towel so every portion of the towel stays down, not just the sides or top and bottom. When you're in Warrior II for instance, and you feel like your feet could rip the towel in two, it doesn't shift or even crease!! When you, "float your feet" to meet your hands at the top of the mat, the mat does not budge AT ALL. I mean, you can't GET this mat to move unless you're ready to leave class. You never have to spray your towel down with a water bottle before class again with this baby! It's also thick and keeps the sweat from collecting on your pants. The other thinner, less expensive Gaiam towels, don't have this nice feature. Yeah, they're absorbant but not sticky. Or, they're sticky and flimsy so I'm messin' with it all the time. Also, I have a Gaiam mat and this towel has the same dimensions so the fit is perfect. I end up using this towel every time unless I've forgotten to wash it and am forced to use the others. This is the perfect towel for Hot Yoga. The Yogitoes, the Manduka Hot Towel, Manduka Equa, a couple of fake Yogitoes mats and more....This one is the best by far. The very thick microfiber top grips your feet and hands with no slipping like the Manduka Hot Towel, but the Manduka Hot Towel bunches on the bottom when you switch poses because there no grips like the bottom of Yogitoes. It doesn't have those nubs that can irritate your knees in certain poses. Plus, as you know, the Yogitoes is pretty thin on top. I think Manduka and Yogitoes are really good towels...please don't get me wrong...If they could combine both, it would be a perfect towel. The Manduka and Yogitoes run about $60, and the anti-slip mesh yoga towel  is about $11 per piece from China to your office including Express shipping.

I read some negative reviews and did not understand them after i started using this great towel! It stays in place! I read that it didnt? It soaks up water (sweat) well and washes well too! I do hot yoga and it stays in place when we do the floor poses, i dont like paying high prices for towels no matter how much I love my yoga!

I've been doing hot yoga (both vinyasa and bikram) for a few months now, and this towel is awesome! I started out with a beach or bath towel but quickly realized that I needed something that wouldn't slip or bunch. Most of the other people in class swear by yogitoes, but those are SO expensive! Why does yoga stuff have to be so expensive? Anyway, this towel is perfect...no need to "pre-moisten" it either. :)

Okay, I am a yoga rat. I love hot, flow yoga. I've had some great towels and have used them for years. Lately, I've been slipping while doing the downward facing dog. I tried this rug and so far so good. No slipping at all and it didn't come off my mat once during vigorous flow class.The underside is a complete panel of the same type of material used to keep area rugs from slipping. The top is an incredibly absorbent towel material, short pile. It kept me from sliding when I was on my hands and feet trying to get deep into my pose.I just washed it and definitely wash it separately because it ran a little, but maybe that was just the first was. If it does not hold up, I'll let you know.I am going to order a second one because the directions say "dry flat." That could take a while unless you have an outside clothes line. I do not, but hung it over the shower. I think they say dry flat to protect the integrity of the rubber on the back.I love it so far, so I gave it five stars. Super price, worked great, and Gaiam is a trusted name.

I do hot yoga, and the towel length matches the length of the yoga mat perfectly and grips pretty good - no complaints there.I would recommend washing the towel once or twice before using it if you're using it for hot yoga and wearing a light colored top - I had a white spandexy yoga bra from VS and the towel totally ruined it - couldn't even get it out with bleach (was able to lighten it but it's not white anymore)I was looking for a towel that wouldn't leave my knees red and bruised looking after class, but this one didn't help with that. If anyone has found a towel or cover that helps with the sensitive knee skin, please let me know!
